Eric F. Herndon is the Chief Executive Officer of VIP Quality Services. His primary focus is developing and maintaining quality relationships with all individuals who encompass the care of the clients.
Eric, with the help of Eric’s daughter, Erica and her husband, Chris Redick, opened the door to VIP In April 2009 to service the special needs community in the area of theater and arts. Eric has an adult son, Flint with special needs which has allowed him to be very close to the population.
Previously to opening VIP, Eric did Supportive Homecare for six years with several special needs individuals. Eric served as a volunteer with Olathe Trailblazer Special Olympics team and Summer Camps. He also, led a team in writing and producing plays for Olathe Special Pop Players.
He is a graduate from DeSoto High School. He is married to his high school sweetheart, Karen and they also have a daughter Erica. Eric’s favorite past time is spending time with his three grandchildren.
Erica K. Redick is the Chief Administrative Officer of VIP Quality Services. She is responsible for coordinating benefits with Managed Care Organization, accounting; training staff on First Aid/CPR/Auto Electric Defibrillator; MANDT; Blood Borne Pathogens; Rights of Individuals Served; Abuse, Neglect and Exploitation; and Emergency Preparedness.
Erica has been part of VIP since it opened its doors in early 2009. Erica has an older brother with developmental disabilities. She has been involved in the special needs community for her entire life, volunteering with Olathe Trailblazers Special Olympics teams, Special Population summer camps and Special Pop Players.
In 2003, Erica married Chris Redick who also has three siblings with developmental disabilities. In 2008 Eric, Erica and Chris started developing the idea for VIP Quality Services. Erica and Chris have three kids and they are a big part of VIP. They enjoy being at VIP and hanging out with the clients. Erica and her family love all the clients just like family, and spending time with them is one of the most fulfilling things about being a part of VIP.
Karen K. Herndon is Business Manager at VIP Quality Services. She is responsible for managing all business matters related to licensed intellectual disabled services including all staffing, compensation, benefits, employee relations, accounting, payroll, and all other business matters for the company. Karen's top priority is to ensure all services provide clients with the utmost respect, customized care and treatment, with the end goal of individualized assistance, attainment, retention and/or improvement in skills for each client to become as independent as possible.
Karen’s 25+ years in Human Resources include experience in the corporate and private sectors working for companies in the Kansas City metro area such as Black & Veatch, HNTB, and TranSystems. Karen has a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources from MidAmerica Nazarene University, with expertise in the following areas: HRIS, Staffing, OFCCP, Diversity and Inclusion, Employee Relations, Benefits, Talent Management, Affirmative Action Plans, EEO-1, and VETS100.
Karen is also the wife of Eric and mother of Flint and Erica, and has been actively involved with the special needs community for over 30 years.
Kevin Flinn is Operations Manager at VIP Quality Services. He oversees the day-to-day operations of VIP’s day service program. Kevin’s objective is providing a safe, creativity, and upbeat environment making the client’s time at the day service the best part of their day.
Kevin joined VIP in August of 2012 and was promoted to Operations Manager in January of 2015. He has 16 years of experience working in the disabled community assisting in Special Olympics, and other community programs. Kevin graduated from Blue Valley Northwest High school, has received two associate degrees from JCCC and currently working on his Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Leadership. Kevin enjoys sports, music, reading, helping others and spending time with Bre and their son.
Samantha Todd is Residential Manager at VIP Quality Services. She is responsible for the operations of VIP’s four group homes.
Samantha joined the VIP team in June 2014, as residential overnight staff. After one year with VIP she was promoted to House Lead. This year, Samantha was promoted to Residential Manager.
Samantha is a graduate from Basehor/Linwood High. In her free time, she enjoys sitting outside reading a good book, loves spending time down at the family farm fishing (when they’re biting), arrowhead hunting and a get-away to a beach. Sam is a country living wannabe and lover of a her husband and their three children.
